Waste collection has a great environmental impact on our society. Solid waste management is one of the most important parameters in cities. This management has three stages: storage, collection and treatment or disposal. Waste collection today is done with trucks, but there is a new methodology that is beginning to be important: pneumatic collection.
But even though this system is commercial today, it still has major points for improvement, which are the objectives of this research project:
- Improving the energy efficiency of system components.
- Improvement of the materials that make up the system, especially the collection pipes.
- System life cycle analysis.
4. Improvement of the control system with the incorporation of artificial intelligence to reduce the energy consumption of pneumatic drive fans.
