Waste collection has a great environmental impact on our society. Solid waste management is one of the most important parameters in cities. This management has three stages: storage, collection and treatment or disposal. Waste collection today is done with trucks, but there is a new methodology that is beginning to be important: pneumatic collection.

But even though this system is commercial today, it still has major points for improvement, which are the objectives of this research project:

  1. Improving the energy efficiency of system components.
  2. Improvement of the materials that make up the system, especially the collection pipes.
  3. System life cycle analysis.

4. Improvement of the control system with the incorporation of artificial intelligence to reduce the energy consumption of pneumatic drive fans.
