Red española de almacenamiento de energía térmica (Spanish Thermal Energy Storage Network) [RED2018‐102431‐T]

The main objective of this network is to take action in the elimination of technological and economic barriers and existing social barriers to the deployment of thermal energy storage (TES), as well as strengthen collaboration between Spanish groups working on the issue and continue the Spanish international leadership. The network is composed of ten research groups. Spain has been and is one of the leading countries on TES as topic. In the late 90s research groups appeared in Spain, groups that were also able to attract funding from European projects and that have even participated in working groups of the International Energy Agency. The collaboration between these groups with others who have subsequently incorporated research in this area is seen as essential to further progress in the investigation. A thematic network of these features ensures the possibility of increasing collaboration infrastructure sharing, staff and knowledge. The network intends to intensify or start actions to promote communication between different research groups, to boost the R+D+I and contribute to the advancement of knowledge to meet the challenges of Spanish research both nationally and internationally, and includes future activities for R+D+I.
